The West Flemish hospitality event ‘Talks & Tastings’ leaves you wanting more:
“AI can be a great help in the hospitality industry.”
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Buni (a specialist in custom interiors for the hospitality industry and other professional projects) and Goldman (a full-service supplier of professional kitchen and hospitality equipment) joined forces to help the hospitality sector navigate the maze that AI still partly is. The aim was to provide insight into how AI can be a lever—and not a threat—for the hospitality industry. The event (Talks & Tastings) was an initiative of four enterprising and spirited women: Laurence Vuylsteke, Geraldine and Ann-Sophie Behaegel, and Isabelle Vancraeynest.
Through Talks & Tastings, both companies sought to further strengthen their role as partners to the hospitality industry—not only as suppliers, but also as connectors within a sector that is constantly evolving. After all, in the hospitality industry, too, everything revolves around key concepts such as inspiration, innovation, and experience.
What began as an idea to bring customers, partners, and hospitality business owners closer together evolved into an event centered on knowledge sharing and networking. It wasn’t a traditional trade show or formal seminar, but an accessible format that allowed participants to learn and explore.
Inspiring talks with practical applications
The program featured two guest speakers, each of whom addressed a current topic in the hospitality industry. Louis van Jobr provided insights into how technology is making recruitment in the hospitality sector easier and more efficient. Through smart matchmaking, the platform helps employers find the right employees more quickly.
Delphine and Ella from AI Marketing Academy then gave attendees an overview of the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence and social media. Their practical approach demonstrated how hospitality business owners can already use AI today to maintain their visibility, save time, and communicate more efficiently.
Following the talks, the focus shifted to the tasting. Various partners introduced attendees to products and solutions relevant to the professional hospitality industry.
Among others, Monarti, Animo, Viva Sara, Wijnen Feys, Brouwerij Verhofstede, OMER, Vander Ghinste, Karreaukroket, and Natuurvlees Dobbelaere were there to showcase their products.
