For Café Centraal, we opted for a phased renewal of the catering furniture. Thus, the existing concept remained visibly present, while we optimized chairs, tables and seating arrangements step by step. The result: more comfort and a fresh look, without noticeable interruption for the guests.

Furniture used in this project:

Why work in phases?

The owners wanted to respect the recognizable character of the café. By working in multiple steps, we were able to make continuous adjustments based on usage and feedback, while allowing daily operations to continue unimpeded.

Retain concept, upgrade furniture

We selectively replaced tables and chairs and redesigned some seating areas. The new pieces match the existing interior in shape and color, so that old and new blend harmoniously.

Materials & colors

Choice of hard-wearing, low-maintenance materials (laminates, treated wood tones, project fabrics). A warm color palette enhances coziness and fits the café’s identity.

Comfort & circulation

We improved seating comfort (ergonomics, seat height, back support) and walking lines around bar and serving aisle. This allows for more flow at peak times without tables being too close together.

Sustainability & maintenance

Furniture is selected for intensive use, stackability where appropriate, and easy cleaning. This limits downtime and extends its life.
