Hotel Roza gets feminine look

For Hotel Rosa, the newest addition to the Flow Hospitality Group, Búni by Eurochair provided the chairs, tables and custom-made sofas for the reception area, the bar and lounge, the patio, the breakfast room and all rooms. “Our products and services must optimally support the hotel’s story,” says Búni.

The Flow Hospitality Group has nine hotels, several of which – are located in Ostend. A while ago, the group bought Hotel Imperial and renamed the building Hotel Rosa via a total renovation. “Having previously been trusted with other projects by this group, we now set to work with them and architect 5am (from Antwerp and Bruges) to completely redecorate the hotel in a new style,” says Ann-Sophie Behaegel.

Conservation of materials

The client had the building completely gutted, but retained as many of the original materials as possible. ROSA is a hotel – concept that redevelops an existing hotel. They keep what is good, respecting the history of the building, and add a modern layer to it. For example, the original floors and stairs were given a thorough refresh. A similar process took place in the 60 rooms.

“Another request was to work with round materials as much as possible, because they accentuate the feminine character (‘Hotel Rosa’). That round shape is reflected, among other things, in the individual pieces of furniture, such as the pouf, the table, the armchair and the night tables that you find in every room. Also in the patio and the breakfast room you will find these round shapes in the chairs. We even manufactured acoustic panels in the same fabrics as the sofas and furniture. Also at the request of the client, the seats of the chairs and sofas are made entirely from recycled materials. We can produce these benches with millimeter precision in our own workshop. The delivery and placement of all the furniture in the right rooms is also done by our own people,” Ann-Sophie continues.

Búni by Eurochair received the confidence of Flow Hospitality Group in part because of its virtually endless possibilities for upholstery.

“Look, every building tells its own story. Our baseline ‘furnishing your story’ perfectly reflects our mission: with our products we want to maximize the identity of a building. In this way, we create a very distinctive ‘look & feel’ each time. No challenge is too much for us. For example, we made a banana-shaped bench for the reception area so that it fits seamlessly with the round wall. In terms of upholstery, this is no sinecure, but such projects our people take on with a smile.”
